Before its closure in April 2016 Methwold Social Club building had long been part of the village life from its original roots as an Ex Servicemen’s club dating back to 1921. In those days it was heated by a stove and it was housed in what can be described as no more than a timber built hut.
After many years of fund raising and hard work by lots of dedicated members the Club could be proud of it’s facilities and surroundings but never forgot it’s humble beginnings. The fabulous function room dedicated to the memory of those days in the “21 Room”. This wonderful asset with separate bar and food preparation facilities is available for Private Hire by organisations, families etc for meetings, parties and social functions.

- NEW Peggy’s Room Large Meeting Room (Former Bar) and home to Methwold History Group
- NEW Youth Room (Former Lounge Bar)
- NEW MINI METHWOLD Children’s Interactive Play Area (Former Snooker Room)
- 1921 Function Room & with Bar Area, Food Prep Area/Large Kitchen, Stage with Dressing rooms. Home to Methwold Theatre Club
- Outside Area for BBQ’s, Car Boot sales etc.
- Private Car Park
