METHWOLD WALKING GROUP

CLUBS & SOCIETIES

Under the umbrella of the Methwold Community Action Group, the Methwold Walking Group is being set up to bring those active ones amongst the village the opportunity to participate in a light to medium walking activity.

We propose regular (2 mile+) walks throughout the summer months in the vicinity of Methwold and the surrounding area.  Initially we will start from the Post Office in the village once or twice a month.

As well as giving people the opportunity of socialising, it will enable a method of keeping fit and learning the local public footpaths and walks which have perhaps been forgotten.

Walks further a-field could be considered, however this would mean meeting further out which involves transportation and parking.  Anyone with any ideas for walks around Methwold, or further a-field we would be pleased to hear from you.

Remember to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather conditions on all walks, and also bring a drink, and anything which you might need to eat.  And don’t forget your camera!

Walking dates and times will be posted in The Methwold Times and on Methwold.net.
